“My father never wasted his wisdom on me. But on the rare occasions when my family found itself in one room, and my father had emptied the drink in his hand, he would sometimes offer a piece of advice to my brother.” —

Kirsten Miller, How to Lead a Life of Crime

That, my friends, is a damn good opening paragraph.

The Crowdsourced Funding of a YA Movie - The Atlantic Wire → theatlanticwire.com

Awesome article about the Kickstarter campaigns that funded the movies for Nina LaCour’s HOLD STILL and K.L. Going’s FAT KID RULES THE WORLD! We were pretty chuffed to see our humble Tumblr mentioned in there as well. :)

Will there be ARCs of Shades of Earth available for bloggers?

Yes, there will be ARCs of Shades of Earth, but as with all ARCs, quantities will be limited.

I CANNOT WAIT FOR SHADOW OF NIGHT TO COME OUT!!!!!!! =] Thanks for listening, that is all.

That’s so great! It’s out today! (We don’t publish SHADOW OF NIGHT here at Penguin Teen, that’s the Viking adult imprint, but we’re happy you’re excited—so are we! I’m reading it right now in fact.)

hello i would like to ask the neww covers of acrosss the universe and a million sons will they be available in hardback or paper back because I wanna buy the two books with the orginal covers in hardcover i want to know will the orginal covers still be available to buy in hardcover?

Across the Universe and A Million Suns will only be available in the new covers in paperback. If you want the books in hardcover, sooner is definitely better—ATU is already available in paperback. (AMS is currently only available as a hardcover.) Shades of Earth will be published with the new look in hardcover in January of 2013.

Does that make sense?

Check out the new covers for the Across the Universe trilogy over on Wired's Geek Dad blog! → wired.com

Geek Dad says: “I like the progression from the frozen to hot and melting to some growing greenery, which is a small hint at the storyline.”

That’s my favorite thing about the covers! They’re going to look awesome as a set. :)
