Sad news guys. Due to inclement weather, the Breathless Reads event in Boston that was supposed to be on Sunday is canceled. The Sunday event in Los Angeles is still happening, however (ah, to be in California right now).

Tara recommends…RIFT by Andrea Cremer!
When I think of my favorite reads of 2012, one that holds a special place in my book-loving heart is most definitely RIFT by Andrea Cremer. Back in the summer of 2010 when I began my time at Penguin as an intern, NIGHTSHADE was the very first galley I ever read (so I also fancy myself as one of Andrea’s first fans) and I was completely enamored with the unbelievable plot, the intriguing characters and the exquisite writing style. I completely fell in love with the Nightshade world that Andrea had created and was so thrilled to hear that a prequel would be on the way and OMG did it deliver! RIFT is a thrilling novel that so perfectly blends fascinating history with amazing paranormal elements and includes a heart-pounding romance that left me proclaiming Barrow as my definitive ‘book boyfriend’ of 2012. He’s hot AND can teach me how to fight? Yes, please.
